Have you ever found yourself going to a bar to escape life, buying a really hot woman a drink and the hooking up with her in her car? Only to later find out that said hot woman was your best friend’s mother? Oh, you’ve never done that?

Well, in Mistakes Were Made, another book by Meryl Wilsner, that is just what happens to our lovely protagonist, Cassie. Cassie goes to a bar to escape family weekend at her college, meets a smoking hot woman named Erin, buys her a drink and then hooks up with her. Thinking it was only an amazing one night stand to be forgotten. She dragged to breakfast the next morning by her best friend to meet her mother. But oh shit her best friend’s mom is Erin, the woman she she hooked up with at the bar and was never supposed to see again. Erin equally surprised, never expected her one night stand to be a college senior, let alone her daughter’s best friend!? She absolutely has to stay away from Cassie because sleeping with your daughter’s friend can be nothing but trouble. She has to nip it in the bud, but she finds herself actually enjoying Cassie’s company in more ways than one.

We follow along as this whole mistake goes from a one time thing to a will they won’t they to a fling, to something more than either woman was ever prepared for. Can our leads actually find love between themselves and will it be acceptable? Read to find out.
